Deborah Brown and I had big tears running down our cheeks as we knelt and were confirmed into the Anglican church this morning. It felt like coming home as our bishop prayed for us. We’ve gone through some of the biggest transitions in our life this year and this is one of them. A community that has three streams of Scripture, sacrament and the Spirit has become foundational and formative in our walk with the Lord. Continuing to be evangelical and now catholic, appreciating historical theology and a faith tethered to the universal and global church has humbled us as we’ve seen God work in ways we’ve not experienced first-hand before.
